Days later, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver appeared in Las Vegas for his annual NBA Summer League press conference. Silver took the stage in the wake of a host of betting scandals that have ensnared Pro Basketball Hall of Fame member Chauncey Billups, former Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier and several other ex-NBA players.
There, Silver was asked by iGB if the NBA has expressed interest in forming a coalition with the other leagues to develop a set of best practises on insider trading and other germane betting-related concerns.
In response, Silver noted that the NBA could be a “party” to that, while adding that he may support the establishment of a federal tsar on sports betting.

Esports betting platform Luckbox has appointed Nevzat Ucar as Head of Content.
Mr Ucar joins Luckbox having most recently worked as Head of Content for Red Bull and his previous roles include Head of Video and Broadcast for Riot Games and Art Director for FOX International Channels. Mr. Ucar will play a leading role in Luckbox’s marketing strategy, and will be responsible for driving global content strategy. As previously reported, Mulberry Street is currently scouting a new Strip location.
A private steakhouse and lounge is being planned for the $2 billion Athletics ballpark rising from the former Tropicana demolition site on the Strip. The Athletic Club will only be accessible to season ticket holders and their guests during games and other stadium events.
The venue, to be located directly behind home plate at field level, is projected to debut along with the ballpark in February 2028.
Renowned restaurateur Will Guidara—celebrated for his tenure co-owning New York City’s three Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park and pioneering the “Unreasonable Hospitality” movement—is spearheading the design.
